Commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, and join author Bill Harding for a Celebration for Veterans and presentation of his new novel Three Women and the River set during WWI. Featuring poets Tony LoBue, Joseph Milosch, Michael Turner-Ortega, Dick Eiden, Paul Szymanski, Ed Coonce and others with poems in the Veterans Section of the San Diego Poetry Annual.

Set during WWI and dedicated to veterans and the author's Navy squadron mates, Three Women and the River tells the story of a teenage soldier trying to forge a new family and future during the war.  He survives some of the fiercest combat in the war, and is threatened with execution by firing squad for desertion, only to find he must once again face a life-and-death moment and risk everything  ̶  this time for love.

Author and poet Bill Harding is the publisher of San Diego Poetry Annual. Three Women and the River is his 4th novel. His short fiction has won two Pushcart Prize nominations. He’s the president and chairperson of the local arts non-profit San Diego Entertainment & Arts Guild which publishes the San Diego Poetry Annual.
