Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a film screening and discussion led by two filmmakers. Corey Ohama's "I Was Born in Mexico, But..." is a creative portrait of a young woman who thought she was American but finds out as a teen that she is undocumented. Brenda Avila Hanna's "Vida Diferida" (Life; deferred), offers a window into the lives of undocumented children as changes in government transform hope into uncertainty. Both films offer a unique window into the lives of the DACA generation.
