Program Description

Event Details

At 4:30 Los Angeles-based cinematographer Alex Griffin will present an introduction to puppet filmmaking. The introductory presentation will be followed by a screening of Heather Henson’s Handmade Puppet Dreams film series which is open to anyone over the age of 14 who would like to see the films. The workshop explores the tricks, tools, and craft in making a low budget puppet film. While producing a short film, the class will look at the rules and language of cinema, camera, lighting—all while working within the context of puppetry.

Because there are specific logistics & needs for managing this workshop, an RSVP to the contact email is required to attend- however the 8:00 PM film screening is open to all without any RSVP

The next day, Sunday February 11th, the workshop continues from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
