Cabrillo National Monument Foundation in partnership with San Diego Public Library will be offering four workshops as part of the Ecologik project throught the year. EcoLogik is a multidisciplinary program that fuses nature, and technology. 

These workshops are offered free of charge, but you will to need to register for each workshop individually to attend: http://cabrilloeducation.com/ecologik-workshop-registration

Limit 30 individuals per workshop. Minimum age - 8 years old.

3D Cabrillo: February 10, 2018
Time:
 1-3 pm Location: Innovation Lab (330 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101 - 3rd Floor) 

Bring the rocky intertidal indoors by creating 3D printed biomodels. Using free software, you will learn how to fully render an object digitally, and edit the model for print in any location. In the end, you will become a scientific illustrator by painting your own 3D printed octopus.

Investigate Biodiversity: May 12, 2018
Time:
 1-3 pm Location: Cabrillo NM (1800 Cabrillo Memorial Dr., San Diego, CA 92106) 

Become a citizen scientist by illustrating the high biodiversity of Cabrillo National Monument through iNaturalist, a digital application used across the globe. Learn the significance of genetic and species biodiversity, and what you can do to conserve our natural landscapes. 

Explore Telemetry: August 11, 2018
Time:
 1-3 pm Location: Cabrillo NM (1800 Cabrillo Memorial Dr., San Diego, CA 92106) 

Discover how space can impact the species in our ecosystem in a multitude of ways. Unearth how scientists continue to monitor animal movement by getting the opportunity to track animals with radio telemetry and interpret what those locations mean to the animal populations that call the park home.
