Event Details

Local author Edie Littlefield Sundby will be joining us to discuss her book, Mission Walker
An 2018 Audie Award Finalist for Best Inspirational Book, The Mission Walker is a personal memoir and an outdoor adventure that recounts a healing 1,600-mile walk of the historic El Camino Real de las Californias mission trail from  Loreto, Mexico to Sonoma, California.  Upon her finish, Sundby became the first person in history to walk the entire trail, if not the first to do so while undergoing chemotherapy, multiple radical surgeries (including the removal of her right lung, half her liver, and part of her colon and stomach), and intense radiation while fighting Stage-4 cancer.  Sundby credits walking the El Camino Real de las Californias and other historic/misison trails in Baja California Mexico and California with saving her life.
