Event Details

Ode to the Blue Forest is a collection of original cyanotypes made with fragments of kelp and seaweed collected from La Jolla's own blue forest, just offshore.  These camera-less photographs display the wisdom and beauty inherent in nature, and inspire contemplation of the evolving relationship humans maintain with the ocean.

The exhibit runs July 6 - August 13, 2022.  Open to the public. 

Oriana Poindexter is a photographer and marine scientist working at the intersection of art, science, and marine resource use.
