A Night at the Opera

January 2- March 31, 2024

This exhibit is a collection of some of Kathryn Peterson’s favorite watercolor live-sketches created during the San Diego Opera dress rehearsals. The operas include Aida, Carmen, Hansel & Gretel, The Marriage of Figaro and Rigoletto.

Kathryn is an award-winning artist with a BA in Fine Art. Painting from life is amongst her favorite genres because she gets to capture the energy in the moment, paint in the community, and experience a sense of fellowship while immersed in beautiful places. Active in numerous galleries, Kathryn’s work hangs in private collections all over the world, as well as in a large public collection in Idaho.
