Write Out Loud

April 2 – April 30, 2024

Every year Write Out Loud partners with NEA Big Read to provide free books, workshop, and engagements opportunities to students across San Diego County through the Read! Imagine! Create! Program.

For 2024, High School students have read Circe by Madeline Miller and Middle School students have read Edith Hamilton’s Mythology, which is a collection of Greek, Roman, and Norse myths. Students have interpreted character, theme, setting, tone, genre, plot, or concept into whatever artistic medium they were inspired to create. This exhibition consists of paintings, drawing, collage, and other 2D visual art, as well as sculpture, diorama, and other 3D visual art.

There will be a reception held Tuesday April 16th from 4-6pm for the young artists, their family & friends, and the public.
