What's on your wish list? The City is preparing a new five-year Consolidated Plan (Fiscal Years 2020-2024) to identify community needs and priorities. You are invited to share your thoughts and suggestions at a series of Community Forums in July and August 2018. A community needs survey will be released on July 2nd. We want to hear from you!

Brief Background:

The City of San Diego receives federal entitlement funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to invest in local communities. The Consolidated Plan outlines community goals and associated funding priorities for a five-year period (FY 2020 – 2024) and is submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  The Consolidated Plan will describe the strategies the City will pursue to address priority community needs, identify goals and objectives to measure progress and guide investment of the HUD entitlement funds over the five-year period.

Federal Entitlement Grants Under Consideration:

a.    Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program

b.    Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program

c.    HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)

d.    Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program

The public is invited to share their thoughts and suggestions at a series of upcoming community forums that will be held throughout the City of San Diego. Organizations serving City of San Diego residents are encouraged to publicize and share the community outreach forums and survey (available July 2, 2018) with clients and staff.
