Event Details

North America will experience a total solar eclipse, exclusive to the United States, on the morning of August 21, 2017. Join in a Solar Eclipse viewing party outside the University Community Branch Library, where you can watch the partial eclipse. Step inside the library to view a live stream of the total solar eclipse on the NASA website.

 

We will have Solar Viewing Glasses for patrons (while supplies last).

 

San Diego is outside of the path for a total solar eclipse but will experience a partial solar eclipse – about 60% coverage - at 10:23 a.m.
