Description of Event

A scientist from NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, Robert Zellem Ph.D., speaks about NASA's ongoing search for habitable worlds beyond our Solar System. He'll explain what an exoplanet is, why scientists are looking for them, and the tools they use to find them. They've already identified nearly 4,000 such planets and are finding more all the time! This is the opening event for an interactive NASA-funded exhibit on display until Jan. 23, 2019. Free and open to all. Discover Exoplanets was developed by the Space Science Institute’s National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL) in partnership with NASA’s Universe of Learning. This project was made possible through support from NASA, under cooperative agreement number NNX16AC65A.
