Event Details

When was the last time you sent a thank you note to a loved one, wrote a letter to an elected official or composed a poem or story?

Come 'put pen to paper' in our Virtual Handwriting Den with Jill Higson, Co-Founder of The Writing Den, SDPL Staff, and new online friends. Write, chat, and share (not required but encouraged!) in a safe, welcoming, and friendly for all ages environment.

Current event, major milestone, and special celebration prompts will be provided to inspire custom creations, lively conversations, and unexpected connections. Plus a guest speaker when possible and fun trivia to win some cool writing gear always!

Grab a pen, pencil or any analog writing tool. (Re)discover the joy and benefits of handwriting!

The den is limited to 10 guests so early registration is encouraged. Your email address is required to register and receive Zoom link that is sent prior to the event.

The Writing Den is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps those in need create, communicate, and connect through the power of handwriting. 10 monthly dens are held with social service and community partners in New York, Seattle, and San Diego - #1, #3, and #7 U.S. cities with the largest concentration of homeless populations.
