Celebrate Filipinix/a/o and LGBTQIA+ History Month at the San Diego Public Library! 

Join our panel of prominent LGBTQIA+ Filipinx/a/o scholars, as they discuss their contributions to the work: Q&A: Voices from Queer Asian North America,  the importance and significance of the collection, and how their work shapes their experiences as LGBTQIA+ Filipinx/a/o in the U.S. At the end of the presentation,  the panel will open it up to questions from the audience. 

Registration required.

The panel will be moderated by Paul Michael Leonardo Atienza (Any Pronouns),  a doctoral candidate in anthropology at the  University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and will be joined by: 

Kim Compoc (She/Her),  assistant professor of history, University of Hawai'i - West O'ahu.

Joyce Gabiola (They/Them), head archivist for Lambda Archives of San Diego.

Thea Quiray Tagle (She/Her/Hers), curator, art writer, and assistant professor of gender and sexuality studies and critical ethnic studies, UMass, Boston.

Thomas Xavier Sarmiento (He/Him/They/Them), associate professor of English, Kansas State University.
