After the Morning Storytime, we will be hosting a Stay and Play! 

Parents and Caregivers- play with your children or watch them as they play with other children. 

Signing Storytime with Jennifer Duncan of Signs at Play is a fun event for families with young children. It combines the joy of stories with the added fun of baby sign language (ASL). 

Interested in achieving better brain function while improving your memory, cognitive abilities, and strategic thinking?

Providing enrichment for our animal friends is incredibly important! During this monthly program you can help us make fun and easy enrichment items for homeless animals at our local Humane Society. 

Chess is played by over 600 million people and is the most popular game in the world. We welcome players with all levels of chess experience from beginners to advanced. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

Join us every Thursday and Friday from 4:00pm - 5:30pm for Chess in the 1st floor main lobby. Downtown Chess meets in the 1st floor main lobby of the San Diego Central Library.

Monthly meeting of the Serra Mesa Planning Group

This is a social group where you can practice your fiber craft in good company, showing off your latest projects, getting support, and make friends. All levels are welcome.

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

The Daytime Book Club meets monthly to discuss the selected title - interesting and fun conversations ensue!

New members and guests are always welcome!

For those contemplating constructing a family tree, as well as for experienced genealogy researchers.

Volunteers are there to help guide you in your research.

These Storytimes, good for kids ages 4 to 6, are fun, kinetic, and humorous experiences!  I make it a point not just to read books, but to perform them as well!

Come play American Mah Jongg - a game of skill, strategy, and luck!

Experienced and novice players welcome. An instructor will be on hand to teach you.

How about a game of chess? All levels of chess experience are welcome, from beginners to advanced. If you don't know how to play chess, you can learn at Chess Club!

STEAM Explorers Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

The Friends of the San Diego Public Library will be hosting its next book sale at the University Heights Branch Library at 4193 Park Blvd (at Howard Ave), San Diego 92103. Enter at the Sprouts parking lot entrance via Howard Ave.

Saturday is Story Time in Kensington Park. Bring a blanket to sit on and get ready for stories, music, and bubbles! Recommended for ages 1-5. Older siblings are welcome to join in on the fun!

Practice your reading skills with a fluffy friend! Participants learn how to be safe around animals as they improve their reading skills.

Saturday of each month, come and join us with Mr. Jesus to learn the skills of playing Chess. For all ages.
