Join us every Wednesday at the Ocean Beach Library to read to DK, our bearded dragon or Darwin, our Ball Python. Practice your skills and gain confidence by reading to these enthusiastic and non-judgmental reptiles.

Ruff Readers is a program that encourages children to increase their reading skills and self-confidence by reading out loud to a therapy dog. Join Ms. Terrie and her dog Star in the children's area on the second Wednesday of the month.

Join us for "Sign-a-Story Circle Time" with Baby Sign Language Basics author, Monta Z. Briant. Parents learn how to use ASL signs for early communication with their babies through stories, songs, and other fun activities. 

Tiny tots ages 0-2 and their caregivers will enjoy songs, stories, and rhymes that foster early literacy skills.

Preschool storytime for babies, toddlers, and all preschoolers!

Join us for a storytime that fosters early literacy!  Features books, songs, action rhymes, and finger plays that invite participation.  Ages 1-5.  Every Thursday. 

Recommended for ages 2-5, this storytime program includes books, songs, games, and early literacy fun! A to-go craft will be provided at the end.

Join in as we read, sing, dance, and play in this special storytime meant to encourage a love of reading and build essential early literacy skills.

Signing Storytime with Jennifer Duncan of Signs at Play is a fun event for families with young children. It combines the joy of stories with the added fun of baby sign language (ASL).

The La Jolla Library Poetry Group meets the third Thursday of every month at the La Jolla Library from 2pm to 3pm. 

New and experienced poets come together to read and share their poems.

Stay and Play is a play group and storytime for kids age 0-5 and their adults. We especially invite nontraditional caregivers (friends, family members, and neighbors) who care for children in an informal way.

These Storytimes, good for kids ages 4 to 6, are fun, kinetic, and humorous experiences!  I make it a point not just to read books, but to perform them as well!

Join us for bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese stories and songs with Ms. Danning at the library. All ages are welcome. The storytime will be once a month on a Friday afternoon from 4pm to 4:30pm at the library's Community Room.

Southern California Ballet is partnering with the Rancho Bernardo Branch Library for “Dancing Through the Pages,” a program that allows children to explore movement and dance through storytelling!

Join us for Mandarin Chinese stories and songs with Ms. Canndy at the Community Room in the Mira Mesa Library. All ages are welcome! Th storytime will be on the 3rd Saturday of the month (subject to change).
