Event Details

Join us to launch the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten event! This program is to encourage parents/caregivers to read 1,000 books to their child/chidren before they begin Kindergarten. All 36 SDPL branches will have a story time at 10:30am and simultaneously read "Can You Make A Scary Face" by Jan Thomas followed by crafts and more fun!

1000 BBK is based upon solid evidence from research findings that the more young children hear books read to them the more prepared they will be to learn to read upon reaching Kindergarten.
