Program Description

Event Details

Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older, how to offer and provide initial help, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions.

Please note that this is an In-Person, 2-day, 4-hr per day training. You must attend both dates to obtain certification. At the end of the training, each participant will receive a certification that is good for 3 years. A 15-minute break will be provided during training. Mental Health America of San Diego County is following the guidelines provided by the County of San Diego. If you have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms or flu-like symptoms, we encourage you to register to our Virtual training's or return to attend the in-person training later.
