The San Diego Public Library is pleased to host the 53rd Annual Local Author Showcase for books published in 2018. The Showcase will be on view on January 25 - February 28 in the Dickinson Popular Library at the Central Library @ Joan Λ Irwin Jacobs Common.

This year we have close to 300 San Diego County authors who have published in a variety of genres: poetry, biographies, fiction, inspirational stories, and everything in between.

Registration is encouraged for this program.  Please scroll down.

Our Keynote Speaker is Emmy-winning KPBS journalist Jean Guerrero whose new PEN award-winning book, Crux: A Cross-Border Memoir, came out in July.  Music will be provided by Eamon Carroll.

Open Mic for authors to read from their work hosted by author and poet Michael Klam, host of the Poetry & Art Series at The Poetry & Art Institute. Virtual Reality demonstration hosted by the library's state-of-art Innovation Lab.

Please visit the Local Author homepage for more information about the Showcase and other programs for local writers.
