21st Annual Toy Piano Festival: Two Virtual Events!

Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 2:30 pm presented by SDPL

Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at noon presented by UC San Diego Library

One of our favorite annual events will be streamed as two special presentations!

On Sunday, September 5th, join festival director Scott Paulson with musicians Sue Palmer and Dr. Kay Etheridge for a short concert filmed on the Central Library's 9th floor!  In this exclusive first look at this year's festival, Scott shares treasures from the toy piano archives and music scores from UC San Diego Library's collection.  Enjoy performances for one, two, or three toy pianos, with a little harp and Theremin on the side. Visit the library’s Facebook page at 2:30pm to watch the stream.

On Wednesday, September 8th at noon, join UC San Diego Library's Facebook Premiere event featuring the 21st annual Toy Piano Festival in its entirety.  This presentation will include new works by local composers, more performances, plus the footage from the Central Library's concert.  Find more information and join that virtual event by visiting UC San Diego Library's website.

Don't worry, if you miss our mini-concert on Sunday, it will be included as part of UC San Diego's presentation and will also be posted on San Diego Public Library’s YouTube page a few days after the virtual events.
