Happy New Year! On behalf of the City of San Diego and the San Diego Central Library, we would like to cordially invite you to the 56^th Annual Local Author Showcase’s virtual opening on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 6:30 pm. The online Showcase should go live Friday evening. This interactive online exhibit allows viewers to purchase books directly from the author's website or Amazon page (if provided).*

We are thrilled to announce that on Saturday morning, January 29th all books will be laid out in our beautiful display cabinets for live viewing. The Showcase will be staged in the Donald C. and Elizabeth M. Dickenson Popular Library, on the first floor of the Central Library. The display will last through the end of March 2022.

Dr. Zohreh (Zoe) Khazai Ghahremani, the award-winning local author of KPBS’s 2012 One Book, One San Diego selection Sky of Red Poppies, will be providing the evening’s key-note speech. In addition to her award-winning novels, Zoe is an accomplished artist and an inspiring speaker!
