The City of San Diego is excited to announce the grand opening for its new Pacific Highlands Ranch Library, located at 12911 Pacific Pl., San Diego, CA 92130. The public is invited to attend the opening ceremony on Saturday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m., with the doors officially opening immediately after and plenty of family-friendly activities to follow until 1:00 p.m.
Attendance is free. Attendance is free. Special swag and bundtinis will be available, while supplies last. Additionally, Todd Gloria and Councilman Joe LaCava will be speak at the opening ceremony.
LIBRARY GRAND OPENING:
• 10:00 a.m. – Opening Remarks & Ribbon Cutting
• 10:30 a.m. – Library doors officially open
• 10:30 a.m. – Artist Janelle Iglesias will give a tour of her “Text/Tile” public artwork in the courtyard entrance
• 10:30 a.m. – Bundtinis and refreshments available in the Community Room, while supplies last. Swag available on the Main Patio, while supplies last.
• 11:00 a.m. – The Artist Lab San Diego will provide face painting and friendship bracelet activities on our front patio and facilitate a community art project on our Children's Library patio. Library staff will give tours of the library spaces, including the IDEA Lab. Odi the Coyote will be on site for photos!
• 12:00 p.m. – Akayaa Atule and Bolga Zohdoomah will perform live in the Community Room
