Event Details

What makes family so important? Join Arts Education Connection San Diego (AECSD) and the San Diego Public Library, Malcolm X branch for a FREE online program that explores what it means to be a family. Join AECSD Storyteller Alyce Smith Cooper for an engaging story told by the Ashanti people of Ghana. Anansi the Spider, the charming and mischievous trickster, decides to hoard all the wisdom for himself. This story shows us how Anansi manages to fool himself, and how knowledge gets shared with humanity. Families will play along and develop their own family motto to share their wisdom as part of a virtual community quilt.

No additional art supplies needed.
