Event Details

This summer we will be hosting a special Engineering Storytime provided by the San Diego Aerospace Museum! These storytimes will be in place of our traditional Toddler Storytime on coordinating days.

These storytimes will be STEM bases and focus on design thinking, literacy comprehension, prewriting, letter and sound recognition. This program includes a story followed by a theme-related hands on activities. Each student will be able to take home a copy of the book and an bagged activity to continue the learning at home!

Schedule:

June 1st-Up Up and Away: Fly high as we discuss aviation and various flying things from planes to balloons, to even birds!

July 27th-Three Pigs in Space: This classic tale is reimagined on the moon and we learn about homes of all kinds.

August 24th-Migration: Delve into the movement of birds, butterflies, and people as we talk about journeys.

August 31st- Rockets and More: Blast off into space as we explore rockets, physics, and living and working beyond our planet

September 7th- Spark of Innovation: Use problem solving to find creative solutions to problems big and small.
