Program Description

Event Details

This exciting class series introduces students to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and how coding can be used to solve real-world problems in healthcare and biology.

Students will explore how AI models recognize patterns and analyze data and then apply these concepts to create a simple image recognition program inspired by medical applications. Each session builds on the previous one, allowing students to strengthen both their coding skills and their understanding of AI.

Students are encouraged to bring their own computers if possible. This class is recommended for students ages 8–13.

Applications of AI meets March 21, April 4, and April 18. Register for each individual session. Each session builds on the information learned previously. https://bit.ly/AImedField

The Code, Create & Explore series is presented by Canyon Crest Academy's AI Club and provides a free opportunity for upper elementary and middle school students to explore the fascinating world of Coding, AI, Robotics, and more. Through a hands-on learning approach, the program aims to build foundational technology skills that are broadly applicable across fields ranging from computer science to biology, physics, and beyond STEM.
