Program Description

Event Details

Each month the San Carlos Friends of the Library sponsor artists to show their works in the Library’s Community Room. Many of the artists will have an artist’s reception on the 3rd Saturday where you can meet the artists and discuss their work. Light refreshments are served. This month we present the works of Mary Conly, who will be showing her watercolors and mixed media paintings.  Mary started drawing on the back of Cheerios boxes when she was four-years-old.  By the age of seven, she could draw a perfect Bugs Bunny.  Her artistic parents encouraged her, but Mary did not think of herself as an artist.  Following her retirement, Mary tried a watercolor class and loved it.
