Event Details

"Yoga Pose Series: My body has been my paintbrush practicing Yoga, while my hands either held an exacto knife or twirled the computer mouse, working as a graphic artist most of my life.

Now my hands draw and paint and teach yoga. The disciplines of Art and Yoga are similar. In the beginning the mind is trained to see shapes and draw them and in yoga the body makes the shape. The technical aspects of both develop as individual parts become whole - Is their unity/balance in the work? Is there enough variety of value/direction? Should it be more loose/precise? The process of doing, creating, watching, feeling and meditating keeps my focus and I have learned that it is this process, which is the most important. I am pleased to have this yoga series up for all to see. I wanted to show some of these poses as if you are doing them and some in an environment that does not take away, but is an oportunity to go inward.

Other Works: Each work whether a flower or a ceramic piece had for me a meditative moment where I got so engrossed while creating that my existence felt purposeful, I am satisfied in that moment."
