Join us for an evening of art and conversation with award-winning San Diego fine art sculptor, Manuelita Brown. Ms. Brown specializes in bronze figurative and portrait sculpture. Notable works include several pieces at UCSD including statues of Sojourner Truth, King Triton, and a bust of Thurgood Marshall.  Local works include "Almas del Mar" at the UTC Mall and "Encinitas Child". Ms. Brown has been honored with numerous awards, juried shows and exhibitions throughout San Diego and the United States. Please scroll down to register.

Co-sponsored with the current San Diego History Center exhibit Legacy in Black curated by the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art (SDAAMFA). The exhibit features the art of African American artists from San Diego or who have a significant relationship to San Diego.

Artful Conversations invites individuals and organizations from San Diego’s art community to the Central Library for an informal and intimate presentation and discussion about the arts. Past Conversations have included a variety of visual arts topics from fine art photography to Plains Indian ledger art.
