Please join us for an Artist Reception in celebration of Nathaly Alvizures and her exhibition Secret Doors currently on view at the Skyline Hills Library.

Nathaly is a self-taught conceptual artist who was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and migrated to America at the age of eleven. In 2018 Nathaly struggled with homelessness and found herself living in a Domestic Violence Shelter called Becky’s House with her five children. She focused on her two main passions, motherhood and photography, to document her current challenges, and in doing so, found that she could express her suffering through the eye of her lens. In this time of her life Nathaly produced beautifully tender compositions of self-worth, struggle, and intimate suffering.

Secret Doors will be on view at the Skyline Hills Library from June 1-July 31, 2023.
