Join us for a visit with local author Huda Al-Marashi. She’ll share her brand new middle grade novel, Hail Mariam. Her book features Mariam Hassan, a sixth-grader who is the only Muslim student at her Catholic school. Follow her as she navigates school, family, and friendships while learning that kindness and understanding can bring people together.

Huda will talk about how she became a writer, what inspired her story, and read an excerpt from her book. Kids will have a chance to ask questions and learn what it’s like to write a real novel! 

 

All ages welcome. Suggested for ages 8 - 12. No registration necessary.
