Jill G. Hall is the author of the award-winning “Anne McFarland” series which have become bestselling book club favorites. She will be discussing her book, On a Sundown Sea, a historical fiction novel about Madame Tingley and the origins of Lomaland. In 1888, medium and clairvoyant, Katherine Tingley, meets William Q. Judge, the leader of the American Theosophical Society and becomes his student. Upon his passing, Katherine assumes leadership of the Society and moves it to San Diego. She establishes a sacred space of learning called Lomaland that attracts people from all over the world. However, betrayal, lies, and libels accumulate until a monumental court case ultimately decides her future.
