Program Description

Event Details

In this extraordinary new book, Boyce explores the “dandelion” child (hardy, resilient, healthy), able to survive and flourish under most circumstances, and the “orchid” child (sensitive, susceptible, fragile), who—given the right support—can thrive as much as other children.

Boyce writes of his pathfinding research as a developmental pediatrician working with troubled children for almost four decades, and explores his major discovery that reveals how genetic make-up and environment shape behavior.

In The Orchid and the Dandelion, Boyce shows us how to understand each child for their unique sensibilities, their considerable challenges, and their remarkable gifts.

This event is free and open to the public. Limited open seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved seating is available when the book is pre-ordered from Warwick’s for the event. Check-in begins at 6:15pm. Contact Warwick’s for details: 858-454-0347.
