In her new picture book, Lunch Every Day, Kathryn Otoshi helps readers see things from the bully's perspective and feel empathy for the lunch thief just like the victim and his mother. Otoshi will discuss her inspiration for this refreshing story and discuss the very real issue of food shortage in America. San Diego Food Bank will also share eye-opening statistics and kick off a food drive at the library. Attendees are encouraged to bring canned food donations. 

Presented in partnership with Warwick's Booksellers and San Diego Food Bank. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. The food drive will run through Jan. 5 at the La Jolla/Riford Branch Library.
