Local author Sam Halpern will read from A Virtuous Lie.  Halpern's second novel is a page-turner about a journalist searching for the truth about a noted attorney who has worked for 38 years to serve low-income women in Los Angeles, and has so far kept her private life a mystery.  While exploring Alessandra's story, Devon reclaims his own passion for life. 

Sam Halpern, a retired professor of nuclear medicine, is better known for inspiring the best-selling book and tv show "Sh*t My Dad Says."
