Author Wanjirũ Warama was born in rural Kenya when the country was a British colony. Having grown up in a world devoid of books, she is dedicated to writing biographical and historical books that enlighten, entertain, and inspire readers. She has been a lifetime member of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library since 2002, a member of the County Library System, and the Rotary Club, among others.
