Program Description

Event Details

Meet for a different book selection every third Tuesday of the month. Read the book Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson and then join a lively book discussion here at Balboa Branch Library. 20-person capacity, first come, first served. Copies of the book are available for pickup at Balboa Branch Library. We look forward to seeing you.

After a fisherman is found drowned off the waters of San Piedro, and Kabuo is accused of his murder, the ensuing trial, stirs memories of land lost during WWII Japanese internment and questions of morality and justice are played out through the intricacies of the courtroom and Ishmael's (the newspaperman) conscience wrestling.
