Meet for a different book selection every third Tuesday of the month. Read the book The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson and then join a lively book discussion here at Balboa Branch Library. 20-person capacity, first come, first served. Copies of the book are available for pickup at Balboa Branch Library. We look forward to seeing you!

An account of the first twelve months after Winston Churchill had become Prime Minister during Hitler's aerial campaign that killed 45,000 Britons- an intimate portrait of Churchill's nucleus of secret advisors and family. It draws on intelligence reports and diaries to chronicle true leadership, "when, in the face of unrelenting horror, Churchill's eloquence, courage, and perseverance bound a country, and a family, together."
