Meet for a different book selection every third Tuesday of the month. Read the book “Farewell to Manzanar” by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston and then join a lively book discussion here at Balboa Branch Library. 20-person capacity, first come, first served. Copies of the book are available for pickup at Balboa Branch Library. We look forward to seeing you!

7 year-old Jean Wakatsuki and her family are sent to the Manzanar internment camp during WW II and their harrowing experiences are told through jean's perspective. This is the true story of a Japanese family "... and of a native-born American child who discovered what it was like to grow up behind barbed wire in the United States."
