Ballet in the Park

Bring chairs or a blanket and enjoy a free performance on the Cass Street Plaza by City Ballet II, the junior company of the critically acclaimed City Ballet of San Diego.  

City Ballet II is the junior company of the critically acclaimed City Ballet of San Diego, under the direction of international dancers Steven and Elizabeth Wistrich. Since 1993 City Ballet has maintained the reputation of producing high quality productions and educational programs as the recipient of Tommy Awards for choreography, production and artistry. City Ballet presents a full season of productions throughout the San Diego area. Only serious students from the upper levels of City Ballet School and trainees from the company are invited to be members of City Ballet II. In addition to performing in the company’s annual production of The Nutcracker and supporting roles in other major City Ballet concerts, works are especially choreographed by City Ballet II director Natalie Test for the dancers to perform at outreach venues and festivals.
