Event Details

Every other week, library staff publish book reviews in the San Diego Union-Tribune sometimes followed by a video review on social media the following week.  No Behind the Desk video this week. Instead listen to a great NY Society Library interview with the author.

Librarian Trevor Jones reviews Blacktop Wasteland by S. A. Cosby, a fast-paced, bareknuckle thriller about an honest mechanic and loving husband and father who's also the (retired) best getaway driver East of the Mississippi.

Behind the Desk is our latest video series and delves deeper into the Recommended Reads published every other Sunday in the Union-Tribune. Check the Sunday Paper to see the latest review from SDPL staff or view our archives on the library website: https://sandiego.gov/sdplreviews.

Want other suggestions for great reads? Trevor has a playlist for you:

Razorblade Tears by S.A. Cosby

When A Stranger Comes to Town by Mystery Writers of America

Moon Lake by Joe R. Lansdale

Check Trevor out on Facebook!
