Description of Event

Infant Massage has many benefits. With each gentle stroke, you are bonding with your baby, increasing attachment, which also benefits you as their parent or caregiver. The process of infant massage also increases your baby's feeling of being nurtured and loved. Massages will allow your baby to feel more relaxed, contributing to better sleep, as well as massaging actually stimulates the nervous system. Giving your infant regular massages is good for their emotional well-being too.

"Affectionate touch and rhythmic movement are among the most powerful forms of communication between babies and their parents, so they're great ways for you to bond," says K. Mark Sossin, Ph.D., director of the Parent-Infant Research Nursery at Pace University, in New York City.
