Am I Blue or Am I Green? Verde o Azul. Cúal Soy Yo? 

We are celebrating Welcoming Week!! Join us for a festive evening of cultural appreciation and a family-friendly bilingual book reading with award-winning author, Beatrice Zamora and her beautifully illustrated children's book Am I Blue or Am I Green? Verde o Azul. Cúal Soy Yo?  The book explores the immigrant world of a young child who examines his rich bi-cultural life and eventually defines an elegant and resilient identity. Ms. Zamora will also be sharing her first book, The Spirit of Chicano Park/El Espíritu Del Parque Chicano, where children are encouraged to explore the awe-inspiring murals of Chicano Park, and to delve into its rich and rowdy history.

Children will be invited to create a Lantinx-themed craft and the program includes a book-signing and refreshments provided by The Friends of the San Ysidro Library!
