Ever tried turning a page of a book into a poem? In this workshop, we’ll be using pages from old books or newspapers and “blacking out” words to reveal hidden poetry within the text. It’s a simple but surprisingly powerful way to get into writing and see language in a new light. Whether you love writing or have never written a poem before, blackout poetry is a great place to start.

 

Suggested for adults, but all ages are welcome. Registration opens July 12, 2025. Walk-ins welcome if space allows.
