Program Description

Event Details

Join us for the Point Loma / Hervey Library book discussion of the 2018 One Book, One San Diego selection - March: Book One, by Congressman John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell.

· How did the events in the personal life of Congressman John Lewis inspire him to participate in the civil rights movement?

· Why did Congressman John Lewis choose a graphic novel format to talk about his experience in the civil rights movement?

These questions and more will be explored at our book discussion in November.

This event is part of San Diego Public Library’s programming for this year’s One Book, One San Diego where we will explore themes of civil rights, social justice, and discrimination.

Registration is not required to attend this event, but those who register below can receive a reserved copy of the book at the Point Loma Branch Library Circulation Desk.
