DREAMERS LOST AND FOUND with LIZZ HUERTA will be streaming on our YouTube channel: mysdpl.org/watchlostdreamer
San Diego Public Library in collaboration with SDUSD Diversify Our Narrative students present author Lizz Huerta, who will discuss the feminist and Mesoamerican roots of her debut novel The Lost Dreamer. We'll explore how the themes of resisting the patriarchy and class privilege play into the story and how they reflect our world today.
Attendees will receive a copy of The Lost Dreamer, while supplies last, as part of our Books for Good Trouble: Social Justice Dialogues programming series. These dialogs are inspired by books and encourage discussion of local community concerns and how we can implement the positive changes we want to see.
The Books for Good Trouble programming series is supported by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
