Event Details

Last year nearly 1600 books were affected by censorship attempts in schools, libraries, and bookstores across the country.

In response, San Diego Writers, Ink and Valencia Park/Malcolm X Branch Library are joining together to present an evening of performance, readings, and discussions in support of our freedom to seek and to express and share ideas.

The evening will feature a Reader’s Theater and selected readings from the American Library Association’s list of Top Ten Banned Books. Please join us to take part in this important conversation.
