Join us for a humorous afternoon with local author Samuele Bagnai. The author will be reading from his new book followed by a Q & A and book signing.

What if you could laugh, and cry from laughing? What if you could love and be swept away by passion? In this book, you will be invited to enter the authentic home of a Tuscan, in the heart of Tuscany and sit at the table with Grandma, who is unwilling to compromise in her kitchen, along with the rest of her amusing family. You will learn what Tuscan people mean when they speak of “penguins” or “porcupines”, making Nutella from scratch with the Indians, selling an old rusty Fiat to the Pope, and how the Italians were invented on the spot, because of a quid pro quo on the sixth day of God’s Creation

Registration is encouraged, please scroll down to register.

Born in Florence, Italy, Bagnai sold his Fiat and moved to the United States leaving behind his Tuscan family and his most beloved city, the cradle of the Renaissance. His mom was not happy and, frankly, how can an Italian mom be cheerful when her son leaves home? But being far away from his family did not make Samuele forget his heritage and the joyful spirit of his homeland. Today, he works as a senior financial analyst for an international real estate company. Samuele is the published author of The Tuscan Who Sold His Fiat to the Pope. He lives in Carlsbad, with his better half Viktoria, also an author, with whom he runs a successful culture & travel blog on www.lovetakesyouto.com
