The VoiceOver screen reader gives users auditory descriptions of what is on the screen of their Apple devices. The feature is designed to increase accessibility for blind and low-vision users, as well as for users with Dyslexia.
Please bring your Apple device for more hands-on experience.
Technology has made world smaller for everyone, and for people who are blind or have low vision, technology has made the world more equal. Even 10 years ago, a blind person could not use a cell phone or computer without a special software. But now anyone can use most smart phone and tablet right out of box!
In this workshop, we will discuss the built-in accessibility features of iPhone/iPad for people who are blind or have low vision.
- Where can we find accessibility features?
- What is Zoom? How do we use it?
- What is Voiceover? How do we use it?
- Is Voiceover the same as Siri?
