“Cats Don’t eat Yarn”, a collection of short plays by Carla Navarro, celebrates and speaks on the many complex and intersectional experiences of Woman, from suddenly becoming the care taker of a difficult parent to conversations around not wanting to have a baby; finding a purposely absent parent; dealing with addiction. Carla Navarro’s poignant illustrations of female stories are layered over BIPOC and LGBTQ and immigrant experiences for complex, heart breaking portraits of complete women in each of these short pieces. 

Run time is approximately 80 minutes. 

Riot Theatrical Productions has a mission to tell stories of intersectional feminism and support representation for women,  the LGBTQIA+ community, and the BIPOC community. Riot supports inclusion for women of all gender spectrum, sexual identity, body shape and ableness, and ages.
