Program Description

Event Details

Come Celebrate Holi at the Carmel Valley Library, March 12th at 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Join us as we make Paper Kites, Holi “Splatter” cards, and fun Coloring pages. “Holi” is the Festival of Colors, Love & Spring.  Additionally, the day signifies the triumph of good over evil. All ages welcome. (Parent supervision required for young children).

"Holi" is a cultural celebration that gives Hindus and non-Hindus alike an opportunity to have fun banter with other people by throwing colored water and powder at each other. Holi also celebrates the arrival of Spring in India, the end of winter, and the blossoming of love. It is also an invocation for a good spring harvest season.
