Event Details

El-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz or Malcolm X day celebration is an annual celebration and recognition of the life of the acclaimed activist. This event will feature local activists, educators, and historians to teach the community the principles of Malcolm X and how they apply to our current freedom struggle. This is a family-friendly event that will feature spoken word, music, and multimedia presentations and light appetizers will be served.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Malcolm X Library, The Southeast Art Team, and Buy Black San Diego.
